AXA PPP
Private-sector joint initiatives include research on the pay and benefits of occupational health and health and safety professionals and pre-employment screening – both of which were sponsored by the healthcare group AXA PPP.
Department for Transport (DfT)
The At Work Partnership is also project managing a series of meetings and report writing on behalf of the DfT to determine the issues surrounding driving safety and conditions such as ischaemic heart disease (report published in 2006) and diabetic retinopathy.
DRC
The At Work Partnership is currently working with the Disability Rights Commission (DRC) and the consultancy group SQW to develop guidance for disabled people on health and safety risk assessment. The guidance, published jointly by the DRC and the Health and Safety Executive, is available at www.hse.gov.uk/disability/index.htm
Additionally, in 2007, Dr John Ballard gave evidence to the DRC Inquiry on disabled people’s access to the nursing, teaching and social work professions. The full findings of the inquiry can be found at www.maintainingstandards.org
We would be delighted to tender for any research projects that your organisation is undertaking.
