As part of our commitment to continuous improvement in safety, quality, and effectiveness of our occupational health services, we are now looking to appoint an experienced and proactive Clinical Governance Manager, to further develop, implement and monitor evidenced based and effective clinical governance processes, in line with SEQOHS standards.

This is a part time, remote working position, however some travel will be a requirement.

About this exciting part time role

As part of our clinical operations team, working closely with the clinical operations leadership team. In particular, our Director of Occupational Health, the role of Clinical Governance Manager is to lead and manage the clinical governance function supporting the organisation’s risk management agenda.

Specific responsibilities include:

·Lead and manage the clinical governance function by providing leadership, guidance, and expertise, within a multi-disciplinary team, for clinical governance and risk management

·Develop and maintain effective working relationships with clinicians, managers, and other employee groups within the organisation

  • The attainment of SEQOHS accreditation within a defined timescale
  • Supporting the structure and delivery of the organisation’s risk management agenda and policies
  • Development of processes to aid the management of clinical risk
  • Ensure robust management of clinical incidents and events reported through the organisation’s incident reporting process
  • Lead on communications regarding governance, regulation and quality improvement, including linking in with national initiatives
  • Acting as a source of support and guidance to managers on all aspects of regulatory body compliance
  • Participation in project and initiatives, owning design and implementation elements relevant to area of expertise to achieve business growth objectives
  • Supporting managers in undertaking root cause analysis investigations (clinical incidents) to ensure the production of credible investigation reports which make realistic recommendations for improvement

Who are we looking for?

  • An experienced NMC registered nurse with demonstrable experience of working in a similar capacity
  • A minimum of a degree in nursing or equivalent qualification
  • 5 years’ experience in clinical governance (desirable)
  • Occupational health and workplace experience (desirable)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A dynamic, self-motivated and optimistic leader who has the ability to respond to change with ease
  • An excellent understanding of Quality (SEQOHS), Audits and Risk management
  • A supportive, reliable and trustworthy individual, who gets stuck in and creates a positive atmosphere
  • An ability to naturally instil confidence in others

  • Computer literacy with experience in using excel and Power BI
