The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) has launched a public consultation on its draft standards for specialist community and public health nursing (SCPHN), which apply to health visitors, occupational health (OH) nurses and school nurses1. The NMC draft standards set out the knowledge and skills needed to gain post-registration qualifications. They also set out requirements for the institutions delivering the education and training, as well as their ‘practice-learning partners’ (the organisations that provide students with the required practical learning).
