WFH – BFY?
Summary:
Home and hybrid working are under fire as some businesses and politicians demand a return to full-time onsite working. Is there a trade-off between workers’ wellbeing and business performance and, if so, what is the evidence?
Most (81%) OH professionals at least occasionally work from home, with 40% doing so most or all of the time, our survey reveals (pp.14–29)1. Almost 70% of respondents prefer hybrid working and 19% favour working exclusively from home. These figures vary according to the sector in which practitioners work but, overall, most prefer flexibility and value being able to work from home at least some of the time.
