Terry Brisco reports on some of the highlights of Workplace Health 2023, the 12th annual seminar of The At Work Partnership in association with Occupational Health [at Work].

Occupational health (OH) physician Dr Richard Heron, expert adviser on work and health at the World Economic Forum (WEF), explored how OH can recognise and address health inequity at work. ‘Despite 50 years of improvements in occupational safety and health, we still have massive persistence of inequities in terms of health outcomes in work-related positions,’ he said, highlighting injuries or illnesses at city, national or global levels. In the UK, a person’s postcode can be an indicator of their expected mortality, health outcomes and employment prospects…
