Occupational health (OH) physician Dr Richard Heron, expert adviser on work and health at the World Economic Forum (WEF), explored how OH can recognise and address health inequity at work. ‘Despite 50 years of improvements in occupational safety and health, we still have massive persistence of inequities in terms of health outcomes in work-related positions,’ he said, highlighting injuries or illnesses at city, national or global levels.
