We have added a separate page on Unfair dismissal: unsafe working conditions. This is particularly about legal protection for a worker who (broadly) leaves his place of work in circumstances of danger which he reasonably believes to be serious and imminent, or takes appropriate steps to protect himself or others.
These rights were previously dealt with as part of more general pages on the website.
The new page includes an illustrative case (not a precedent) of an employment tribunal considering these rules in relation to Covid-19: Rodgers v Leeds Laser Cutting, 2021.
